Hide

Hide
by Khari D. Hawke

After the school bell rang,
He feared for his life...
Another beating was....
So imminent
Pain in his cry,
As they kicked and swung,
His very essence was,
Stolen from him..

In every hate bash;
He was reminded,
That this is not the world, for him.
In every hate bash;
He was reminded,
That this is not the world, for him.

It seems the kids are praisng to,
The rap stars that they follow to,
Stupid world, with stupid little rules,
They question your authority.
They beat him like the outcast;
He was meant to be,
In a crucifix,
Unline nothing seen;
His throat was gashsed,
His head was smashed,
It's almost like they loved to take.

You were right...what they did...to the boy....oh...
In every hate bash;
He was reminded,
That this is not the world, for him.

Must we hide...?!
Every hit..?
Must he cry,
Must we hide...?

I walk this world,
With such a fear,
Is tonight the night;
I'm no longer here?
They teach you war,
But not for them;
For the one of..the soul.
To get their stamp of acceptance,
All you'd have to do
Is talk about the girl,
That you fucked in the hummer,
To cut off the feelings,
Every memory or,
Smoke it away.

He asked me why,
Did i decide,.
That I'll pretend,
To be just like them...
The worst,
Of the world,
Is ripping me in half.
With every drip,
Of his busted lip,
He's crying, cry to me;

Must we hide...?!
Every hit..?
Must he cry,
Must we hide...?

With every gay bash,
He was reminded;
That this is not the world, for him.
With every gay bash,
He was reminded;
That this is not the world, for him.
