If you’ll let me 
I will slowly erase the years - 
The past that keeps your heart clinging to maybe’s and uncertainty’s 
Can all be washed away 
In me 

If you’ll let me 
I will reinvent the word love for you daily 
So that it becomes synonymous with my name 
The two would become one in the same 
Instantaneously 

If you’ll let me 
We’ll move heaven with our sexing 
Light stars bright with our incantations of wanting 
Pierce the ears of angels with the hymns we’ll sing 

If you’ll let me 
I will love you for an eternity 
So completely our Earthly existence couldn’t contain the 
Extent of my loving 
For as I draw my last breath it will be to say your name 
And as I make my way to heaven’s gates 
My soul will be waiting patiently for its mate 

If you’ll let me 
I will forsake all others but Him 
For no other can compare to you 
No man can ignite me the way you do 
Set me aflame with a passion so all consuming 
That they will look in my eyes and see your face 
And know that I am yours 

If you’ll let me 
There will be no end to the possibilities 
If all we had were each other 
We would be ok 
Together we could make it through each trying day 
Together we could kiss our cares away 
Together we could be an unstoppable team 
Nothing can touch us, 
Just you and me

I will love you simply - 
By sitting on the porch swing drinking lemonade 
Watching the dogs play 
Staying up late nights to watch a UFC fight 
Making love by candlelight 
Planting flowers in the front yard 
Holding your hard when life gets hard 
Loving you without question, unconditionally
